Are you planning to use dialogue or narrative for the description?
If dialogue, and assuming that you've been careful to avoid the 'he exposited' syndrome, in which one character tells another character something that they both know very well as an awkward way for the author to get the information across... I'd try to break up the speech with reactions from others. We have to assume they care about this, right? So have them be involved. They can ask questions, make comments, react emotionally, etc.
If you're planning to use narrative... I'd try to break it up if possible, to avoid having an info. dump, but I truly believe there are times when you've just got to get the information out there, and sometimes dumping it is the only way. But if possible, you could give us the information in little bits, only as needed. Or you could bring in some dialogue or characterization to help break it up.
