Creativity is in small things. In 37 plays, Shakespeare didn't have one original plot.

Orwell said, "Never use a metaphor, simile, or other figure of speech which you are used to seeing in print." He was talking about avoiding clichÃ©s but it's my -- okay, unsupported -- theory that creativity is just the radical avoidance of clichÃ©.
