As I've recently found my inner writer, I'm still learning the basics. I know that there is a standard screenplay / script format that should be followed when doing one. Would it be better to write freely in, say, my notebook / on my computer, or jump right into the standard screenplay format? Not looking for a debate, just looking for some advice from more experienced writers.
