: Chicago notes citation question: how to cite an entry from an annotated bibliography? I apologize in advance if I shouldn't post this question here. I am trying to cite an entry from a book
I apologize in advance if I shouldn't post this question here. I am trying to cite an entry from a book containing a collection of annotated bibliographies that organizes its entries by number. For example, page 50 has 5 different annotated bibliographies that ranges from number 178 to 182.
According to Turabian, I could classify the numbered entry as a section, but that doesn't seem correct. Similarly, if this were a dictionary and the entries were organized alphabetically, then I would identify the entry by using "s.v." because it is listed under some word.
I have been searching for a few hours in Turabian and online and cannot find a definitive answer. Can someone please help me? Thank you!
