: Re: Any tips for young writers? I am a 15 years old boy who likes to read/watch/play anything that has a good story in it - especially fantasy. Everytime I finished one, I always feel like that
I am also a young writer - under 16. I am writing a Historical Fiction book, and while writing can depend on age and experience, the key to success is passion and dedication. If you spend time to write each day, making sure you are focused and your writing is quality writing, using good vocabulary, sensory detail, dialogue, character development, and plotline. If you need help, you should ask a knowledgeable person on the subject (teacher, librarian, parent). Once you finish, spend lots of time editing. You should edit, and have friends, family, computer programs like the free version of Grammarly, teachers, etc, read through it and give you helpful, honest advice. You could go even further and hire an editor. Then, you could send it to a traditional publisher, or an online self-publisher.
